THE MEEDTUBE+ FIELD GUIDE

Get unstuck without losing your settings

Identify whether the problem is setup, a single video, playback quality or installation. Try the smallest relevant change first.

QR setup cannot connect or expires

  1. Check that the TV has working internet and the phone can open meedtube.xyz.
  2. Select Retry if setup reports the service is temporarily unavailable. A service outage can affect setup even when other sites work.
  3. For an expired code, keep the welcome screen open and scan the replacement. Pending links last 15 minutes.
  4. Open the phone link and follow the confirmation. Do not share the temporary setup URL in a public support post.

Missing playback details

TV 1.2.3 and Mobile 1.19.5 include recovery for missing playback details: an independent alternate source is tried, then a retry message appears if recovery is exhausted. Automated tests do not prove a specific video plays on every device.

Retry once and test another video. Record the video ID, device model, OS, app version and error if it repeats. Restricted content, source failures and upstream changes can still prevent playback.

Buffering or stuttering

  1. Test another video to distinguish a source-specific failure from a general connection issue.
  2. Open Quality and select a lower available resolution.
  3. Try another offered format if the device struggles with a codec or HDR mode. Alternatives depend on the video.
  4. Check the connection near the TV, pause heavy transfers and reopen the app.
  5. Change one setting at a time and record what helped. Do not clear app data as your first step.

APK signature conflict

Android requires an update to match the installed package’s signing identity. Current TV builds match TV 1.2.0 but not TV 1.1.0. Keep the installed app and contact Support for the appropriate upgrade path. Uninstalling removes local data.

Compare package, version, checksum and signing notes on the download page. A download is not proof of installation or compatibility.
